AreaNets \u00abGuild Wars\u00bb<\/a> fra 2005 overrasket verden med sitt unike fors\u00f8k p\u00e5 MMORPG-sjangeren (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game). Med fokus p\u00e5 historiefortelling og samling av forskjellige ferdigheter isteden for karakterniv\u00e5 og utstyr. Spillet eliminerte ogs\u00e5 mye av arbeidet man ofte forventer av spill i sjangeren. Var man av den asosiale sorten kunne man g\u00e5 gjennom spillets historiesekvenser alene, ved \u00e5 hyre inn datastyrte karakterer til gruppen sin. Det fantes ogs\u00e5 en mulighet til \u00e5 lage en karakter spesielt til spillets spiller-mot-spiller sluttspill, for de som rett og slett ikke ville spille gjennom historiesekvensene. Det som separerte \u00abGuild Wars\u00bb mest fra andre spill i sjangeren var nok at spillet ikke krevde et m\u00e5nedlig abonnement, noe som \u00abGuild Wars 2\u00bb<\/a> vil opprettholde.<\/p>\n

Med \u00abGuild Wars 2\u00bb<\/a> h\u00e5per AreaNet \u00e5 lage et spill n\u00e6rmere det som er tradisjonelt for sjangeren, uten \u00e5 gi slipp p\u00e5 det som gjorde originalen unik. Med flere karakterniv\u00e5er, st\u00f8rre bruk av s\u00e5kalte utholdende (persistent) soner og mer fokuserte ferdigheter. En av de st\u00f8rre forandringene er muligheten til \u00e5 velge mellom forskjellige raser. Hvor i det originale \u00abGuild Wars\u00bb man bare kunne spille som menneske, kan man i \u00abGuild Wars 2\u00bb velge mellom 5 forskjellige raser. Det er nettopp dette den nye traileren g\u00e5r inn p\u00e5.<\/p>\n

Traileren under introduserer oss for noen av spillets store helter og gir oss et innblikk i hvilken holdning og rolle de forskjellige rasene har i spillet. Om dette f\u00e5r deg til \u00e5 sikle etter mer fra \u00abGuild Wars 2\u00bb<\/a> m\u00e5 du nok mette deg selv med noe t\u00e5lmodighet. AreaNet lover \u00e5 vise spillet i aksjon en gang p\u00e5 ny\u00e5ret, men noe utgivelsesdato vil de enda ikke komme med.<\/p>\n
