Tidligere i m\u00e5neden lanserte Sony en obligatorisk oppdatering til Playstation 3 som fjernet muligheten for \u00e5 installere Linux p\u00e5 maskinen. En oppdatering som mange PS3-eiere reagerte negativt p\u00e5.<\/p>\n

Vil ha erstatning<\/h5>\n

Noen reagerte mer negativt enn andre. Anthony Ventura i California har levert inn et s\u00f8ksm\u00e5l mot Sony, der han hevder at Sony f\u00f8rer kundene bak lyset med den nye oppdateringen, og at den ikke gagner PS3-eiere i det hele tatt. Sony hevder oppdateringen var n\u00f8dvendig for \u00e5 forbedre sikkerheten til maskinen, mens Ventura p\u00e5st\u00e5r at den eneste grunnen til at Sony har fjernet “Other OS”-funksjonen er for \u00e5 forhindre hackere i \u00e5 tilrettelegge maskinen for piratkopiering.<\/p>\n

Ventura, som bruker Linux p\u00e5 sin PS3, har ikke installert oppdateringen fra Sony, og har n\u00e5 ikke lenger tilgang til Playstation Network. Sony krever nemlig at du har nyeste oppdatering installert for \u00e5 kunne spille over nettet.<\/p>\n

Hvor mye Ventura vil ha i erstatning for tort og svie for at han ikke f\u00e5r spilt \u00abModern Warfare 2\u00bb over nettet vet vi ikke, men nettsiden Kotaku hevder at det er snakk om over fem millioner dollar.<\/p>\n
