Da jeg sendte Frede ned til et hotell for \u00e5 pr\u00f8vespille \u00abYoostar 2: In the Movies\u00bb fikk vi streng beskjed om \u00e5 ikke filme skjermen. Merkelig, tenkte jeg, ettersom hele greia med spillet er at man kan plassere seg selv inn i en film, og da burde vi jo f\u00e5 lov til \u00e5 filme hvordan det ser ut. N\u00e5 skj\u00f8nner jeg hvorfor de nektet: det ser nemlig helt r\u00e6vva ut.<\/p>\n

Hollywood-dr\u00f8m<\/h5>\n

I \u00abYoostar 2: In the Movies\u00bb f\u00e5r man muligheten til \u00e5 leve ut Hollywood-dr\u00f8mmen. Nei, du f\u00e5r ikke ta et kilo kokain og g\u00e5 amok som Charlie Sheen, men du f\u00e5r sjansen til \u00e5 innta kjente (og mindre kjente) roller i Hollywood-filmer.<\/p>\n

Det fungerer ved hjelp av EyeToy-kameraet p\u00e5 Playstation 3 (eller Kinect p\u00e5 Xbox 360). Kameraet filmer meg, mens jeg f\u00f8lger med p\u00e5 skjermen og leser opp dialog, s\u00e5 plasserer det meg inn i den aktuelle filmen. Deretter er det bare \u00e5 sette seg tilbake og nyte resultatet.<\/p>\n

Hadde det bare fungert.<\/p>\n

Det f\u00f8rste som sl\u00e5r en med \u00abYoostar 2: In the Movies\u00bb er at teknologien som skal klippe ut kroppen min og plassere den inn i filmen ikke fungerer. F\u00f8rst m\u00e5 man ta et bilde av bakgrunne, for s\u00e5 \u00e5 stille seg foran kameraet slik at spillet klarer \u00e5 skille meg ut fra bakgrunnen. Det klarte ikke spillet i det hele tatt, som regel ble over halve filmen erstattet med bokhyllene mine, slik at det \u00e5 se meg selv “i filmen” endte opp med \u00e5 se meg selv i stua mi. Endel\u00f8se fors\u00f8k p\u00e5 \u00e5 hente lamper, sl\u00e5 av og p\u00e5 lys og fikse lyssettingen hjalp ikke i det hele tatt. Litt bedre ble det \u00e5 spille spillet i dagslys, men det ser fortsatt ikke s\u00e5 smidig og bra ut som p\u00e5 de manipulerte skjermbildene du ser i anmeldelsen her. <\/p>\n

En annen svakhet er at spillet inneholder altfor f\u00e5 filmklipp. 80 klipp skal f\u00f8lge med, men flere av disse er bare noen f\u00e5 sekunder lange. Etter en time hadde jeg pr\u00f8vd de fleste klippene. I motsetning til f.eks. \u00abSingstar\u00bb, der 80 sanger er mer enn nok til \u00e5 holde festen i gang, gikk det ikke lang tid f\u00f8r jeg slapp opp for klipp i \u00abYoostar 2\u00bb.<\/p>\n

For gutta?<\/h5>\n

Og her vil jeg for\u00f8vrig gjerne f\u00e5 p\u00e5pekt en annen svakhet med spillet. Merkelig nok har utviklerne valgt ut en hel haug med mannsdominerte klipp. Min samboer er ikke spesielt spillinteressert, og hver gang jeg kommer hjem med et nytt spennende spill jeg skal teste blir jeg som regel m\u00f8tt med en gjesp og null interesse. Men ikke denne gangen. Hun gledet seg til \u00e5 pr\u00f8ve seg i Hollywood-filmene. Dette s\u00e5 g\u00f8y ut. Helt til vi begynte \u00e5 spille. Kun en h\u00e5ndfull av klippene har damedialog, for det meste har produsentene fokusert p\u00e5 guttefilmer som \u00abStar Trek\u00bb, \u00ab300\u00bb, \u00abTerminator\u00bb og \u00abRocky\u00bb. Etter femten minutter hadde vi brukt opp de f\u00e5 klippene med kvinnelige skuespillere, og da stod bare machoklipp igjen p\u00e5 plakaten.<\/p>\n

Jeg kunne fortsette \u00e5 snakke om andre tekniske svakheter. Om hvordan PS3-kameraet, som skal ta opp dialogen min, ogs\u00e5 tar opp lyden fra filmen samtidig, slik at man f\u00e5r et ekkelt ekko i lyden n\u00e5r man spiller av opptaket sitt etterp\u00e5. Eller om problemene med \u00e5 f\u00f8lge dialogen p\u00e5 skjermen n\u00e5r man samtidig skal se et annet sted. Eller om de vanvittig tunge menyene som er en pine \u00e5 man\u00f8vrere seg gjennom. <\/p>\n

Det som redder \u00abYoostar 2: In the Movies\u00bb fra laveste terningkast er at det er faktisk litt moro \u00e5 spille inn enkelte klipp. Selv om resultatet ser r\u00e6va ut, s\u00e5 er det mulig \u00e5 ha det moro en liten time med \u00f8l og venner og vorspiel og \u00abYoostar 2: In the Movies\u00bb. Men det er ogs\u00e5 alt. \u00abYoostar 2: In the Movies\u00bb er mer en gimmick enn et fullverdig spill.<\/p>\n
