I et intervju med nettstedet MCV <\/a>sender Activision Publishing-sjef Eric Hirscberg en takk til Battlefield 3<\/em>-utvikler og selverkl\u00e6rt hovedkonkurrent Electronic Arts for all den ekstra gratisreklamen spillet deres har f\u00e5tt i media.<\/p>\n

Et slag mellom kjemper<\/h5>\n

– Jeg tror EA snakker mer om spillene v\u00e5re i media enn vi gj\u00f8r selv, s\u00e5 det f\u00f8rste jeg vil si til dem er “takk for hjelpen til \u00e5 skaffe oppmerksomhet”, sier Hirschberg i intervjuet.<\/p>\n

Denne vinteren lanseres to h\u00f8yst etterlengtede oppf\u00f8lgere i hver sin sv\u00e6rt popul\u00e6re krigsspillserie, Battlefield 3<\/em> fra EA, og Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3<\/em> fra Activision. H\u00f8yst sannsynlig kommer begge spillene p\u00e5 markedet samme uka, og prestisjespillet har n\u00e5 g\u00e5tt s\u00e5pass langt at det er toppsjefene i selskapene som tar seg av promoteringsarbeidet i forkant av lansering.<\/p>\n

– Vi har hard konkurranse for Call of Duty<\/em> hvert eneste \u00e5r. Det er aldri enkelt. I fjor var det Halo: Reach <\/em>og Medal of Honor<\/em>, og det er ikke som om de ikke var fantastiske utviklere med m\u00e5l om \u00e5 n\u00e5 toppen heller. Og det er det samme i \u00e5r . Gears of War<\/em> er tilbake, sammen med mange andre spill, sier Activision Publishing-sjefen.<\/div>\n

– S\u00e5 vi tar selvf\u00f8lgelig konkurransen p\u00e5 alvor, men til syvende og sist mener jeg det virkelig n\u00e5r jeg sier vi fokuserer p\u00e5 m\u00e5llinjen i stedet for konkurrentene. Vi lager de beste spillene vi kan, og benytter alt vi har av ressurser og kreativitet til \u00e5 lage det. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 utvikles av Infinity Ward og utgis av Activision for PC, Playstation 3 og Xbox 360 den 8. november. Battlefield 3 utvikles av EA Dice og gis ut av Electronic Arts for PC, Playstation 3 og Xbox 360.
