The Secret World-<\/em>utvikler Ragnar T\u00f8rnquist lover at Funcom ikke har noen planer om \u00e5 inng\u00e5 kompromisser med spillet, etter \u00e5 ha opplevd svak mottakelse og sterk konkurranse.<\/p>\n

Gjenoppfinner hjulet<\/h5>\n

Det har, som T\u00f8rnquist selv p\u00e5peker, v\u00e6rt et par turbulente uker for b\u00e5de Funcom og The Secret World<\/em>. Studioet har m\u00e5tte halvere salgsm\u00e5lene sine, anmelderne har plassert spillet i en sterk, men ikke sterk nok, posisjon p\u00e5 Metacritic<\/a>, og opp til halvparten av de ansatte har f\u00e5tt fyken. Spillets fremtid har f\u00f8lgelig v\u00e6rt et tema blant spillerne.<\/p>\n

Men T\u00f8rnquist er alt annet enn pessimist n\u00e5r han snakker om fremtidsplaner for nettrollespillet.<\/p>\n

– Vi kommer ikke til \u00e5 introdusere klasser eller niv\u00e5er, elver eller kentaurer, eller, uansett konkurranse, fire p\u00e5 den opprinnelige visjonen. Vi kommer til \u00e5 fortsette \u00e5 gj\u00f8re det vi er flinke til. Vi kommer til \u00e5 flytte grensene, og gjenoppfinne hjulet (bokstavelig talt), forteller spillskaperen.<\/p>\n

Hjulet han henviser til, er ferdighetshjulet, som sammen med en rekke andre konsepter skiller The Secret World<\/em>\u00a0fra nettrollespill-hopen. Det er med andre ord ingen planer om \u00e5 bremse opp og konformere, men snarere \u00e5 fortsette \u00e5 satse videre som planlagt.<\/p>\n

– For fem \u00e5r siden satte vi ut for \u00e5 revolusjonere sjangeren, og revolusjonen er s\u00e5 vidt i gang, heter det i Tr\u00f8nquists brev til spillerne.<\/p>\n
