Crystal Dynamics pustet nytt liv inn i Tomb Raider-serien tidligere i \u00e5r, og etter \u00e5revis med stadig blekere middelm\u00e5digheter kunne kritikere endelig fastsl\u00e5 at Lara Croft hadde gjort et velkomment comeback. Siden den gang har de tydeligvis arbeidet hardt og effektivt p\u00e5 studioets kontorer, ettersom de angivelig er “godt i gang” med en oppf\u00f8lger allerede.<\/p>\n

Phil Rogers, sjef for den amerikanske og europeiske avdelingen av utgiver Square Enix, avsl\u00f8rte nemlig en oppf\u00f8ger til storspillet tidligere i dag. Annonseringen kom i form av et innlegg p\u00e5 hjemmesiden, som blant annet omhandlet selskapets spill, fremtidplaner og ressursfordeling.<\/p>\n

“Square Enix produserer for \u00f8yeblikket en rekke spill til den neste konsollgenerasjonen, inkludert Final Fantasy XV og Kingdom Hearts III, som begge ble annonsert p\u00e5 \u00e5rets E3-messe, og Thief 4 som kommer i 2014,” <\/em>forklarte Rogers. “Jeg er ogs\u00e5 oppr\u00f8mt over \u00e5 kunne avsl\u00f8re at vi er godt i gang med en Tomb Raider-oppf\u00f8lger til den neste konsollgenerasjonen – noe det er mulig du har har h\u00f8rt om nylig!”<\/em><\/p>\n

Videre bekreftet Rogers at Square Enix vil fortsette \u00e5 produsere store kvalitetsspill til konsoll, og besvarte dermed fansens bekymringer ang\u00e5ende selskapets \u00f8kende fokus p\u00e5 det h\u00e5ndholdte markedet.<\/p>\n

“Jeg kan trygt bekrefte at vi ikke vil slutte \u00e5 produsere kvalitetsspill til konsoll og PC.Vi jobber hardt med \u00e5 forbedre hvordan vi utvikler og utgir spill, noe jeg \u00f8nsker \u00e5 utdype videre i dette innlegget.”<\/em><\/p>\n
