Den australske avdelingen til butikkjeden Target har valgt \u00e5 fjerne salgssuksessen Grand Theft Auto V fra butikkhyllene. Spillet er ikke lengre mulig \u00e5 f\u00e5 kj\u00f8pt i australske Target-butikker, kunne selskapet kunngj\u00f8re<\/a> tidligere i dag. Begrunnelsen er negative tilbakemeldinger fra kunder.<\/p>\n

Grand Theft Auto-serien har lenge m\u00e5tte t\u00e5le hard kritikk for spillenes voldelige innhold, og denne gang er det spesifikt vold mot kvinner som st\u00e5r i fokus. Target Australia-manager Jim Cooper har kommet med f\u00f8lgende begrunnelse for avgj\u00f8relsen om \u00e5 trekke spillet fra hyllene:<\/p>\n

“Vi har snakket med mange kunder om spillet i l\u00f8pet av de siste dagene, og det er en betydelig grad av engstelse relatert til spillets innhold. Vi har ogs\u00e5 f\u00e5tt tilbakemeldinger som har st\u00f8ttet at vi selger spillet, og vi respekterer deres syn p\u00e5 saken. Allikevel f\u00f8ler vi at avgj\u00f8relsen om \u00e5 stoppe salget av GTA 5 er i tr\u00e5d med synet til mesteparten av v\u00e5re kunder.”<\/em><\/p>\n

En rekke kunder har blant annet brukt Internett for \u00e5 fremme sin bekymring rundt salg av GTA V. En underskriftskampanje<\/a> rettet mot butikkjeden har i skrivende stund 41 342 underskrifter. Kampanjen retter f\u00f8rst og fremst fokus p\u00e5 muligheten til \u00e5 ut\u00f8ve vold mot kvinner i spillet. “Dette kvalmende spillet oppfordrer spillere til \u00e5 ut\u00f8ve seksuell vold og drepe kvinner”<\/em>, st\u00e5r det blant annet i kampanjens overskrift.<\/p>\n

Grand Theft Auto V ble nylig lansert i forbedrede utgaver til Xbox One og PS4, og en PC-versjon<\/a> skal lanseres den 27. januar. Den nye versjonen av spillet introduserer blant annet muligheten til \u00e5 spille i f\u00f8rstepersonsperspektiv, noe som kanskje bringer spilleren enda tettere p\u00e5 handlingene man beg\u00e5r.<\/p>\n
