Resultatene viste generelt at det \u00e5 spille videospill gjorde ikke at mennesker fikk mer kj\u00f8nnsdiskriminerende holdninger. Det er det anerkjente magasinet <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/olliebarder\/2015\/04\/10\/new-study-finds-no-link-between-gaming-and-sexist-attitudes\/\">Forbes<\/a> som varslet om dette.<\/p>\n<p>Unders\u00f8kelsen som er gjort blant tyske unge var basert rundt Kultivasjonsteorien, som hevder at <span class=\"mw-redirect\">mediene<\/span> bidrar til \u00e5 konstruere vrangforestillinger omkring virkeligheten. Hypothesen var at mer videospill gjorde folk ble mer villige til \u00e5 uttrykke sexistiske holdninger til samfunnet.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Selve unders\u00f8kelsen har blitt utf\u00f8rt siden 2011 med tre forskjellige &#8220;b\u00f8lger&#8221; av personer som deltok, fra alderen 14 og oppover. Selve unders\u00f8kelsen er sponset av <strong>European Research Council,<\/strong> og ikke fra akt\u00f8rer med noen tilknytting til videospillbransjen.
